Verdict: $6,650,829.58

Owners and managers of a Boston hotel-parking garage were aware of the dangers in the garage, such as drug activity and homeless vagrants, and failed to provide adequate security when they did not equip the garage with security camera on any of the floors and employed as little as one to two security personnel to patrol the entire hotel complex and the six floor garage. The only two hotel security guards on duty this night were locked inside the hotel lobby attending to the incoming bar crowd per management instructions and failed to prevent a young woman from being viciously attacked and raped. The same attacker had committed a similar crime 12 days earlier in the same garage.
