Attorney Bromby is the Director of Claims at the Law Offices of David J. Hoey. In this role, he focuses on providing special legal services to clients using his specific knowledge of medical claims. Under recent legislation passed in 2012 dubbed the “Massachusetts Apology Law”, any claim against a medical provider must first be presented to the potential defendant by way of a presentment letter. The hope is that an amicable settlement can be reached between the parties. This legislation is intended to alleviate the time and expense associated with litigation for both sides and has proven to be an effective tool in resolving claims where liability is reasonably clear. Attorney Bromby oversees the presentment process and negotiates a large percentage of the cases to amicable resolution.

He is a graduate from St. Johns Preparatory School (1986) in Danvers, MA, and a graduate of the University of Massachusetts (1990). He received his Juris Doctor degree from the Massachusetts School of Law and is licensed to practice in the federal and state courts of Massachusetts.

Attorney Bromby has over 20 years of litigation experience including extensive experience participating in mediations, trials, and complex settlement negotiations, including an appearance before the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts.

We must never lose sight of the fact that the law has a moral foundation, and we must never fail to ask ourselves not only what the law is, but what the law should be.– Anthony Kennedy
